Business Advocacy
We’re Your Business Advocate

No business operates in a vacuum! If you’re like most businesses, you face a myriad of government rules and regulations every day. Each one of them has the potential to hinder your business success and profitability.

No matter how well you run your business, your ultimate success can depend on the various rules and regulations that are enacted by your elected government officials on the local, state, and federal levels.

That’s where we come in. The Greater Hamilton Chamber of Commerce staff works for you, speaking on your behalf every day. We are an advocate, a watchdog, and a voice for the Greater Hamilton and Butler County area businesses. We work hard to oppose laws that can hurt your business and support laws that will create a more nurturing business environment.

A Chamber representative attends all city council meetings. Little can happen that doesn’t get reviewed by the Chamber. Frequently, the Chamber is actively involved in the development of legislation and policy setting. We are also in constant contact with our county officials when it comes to procedures that can affect you.

The Chamber staff frequently communicates with our state and federal representatives concerning issues important to business. Through our alliances with various other state and federal organizations we are able to weigh in on policies as they are in the developmental stage.

Our Government Affairs Committee is constantly examining proposed legislation before it becomes law. We communicate our findings to our members on a consistent basis. If this area is of special interest to you, please contact us about serving on this very important committee.

From time to time we believe that some issues are so important to our members that we will post important bulletins on this site. You’ll also find valuable links here that can provide you with more detailed information about local, state, and federal issues. Contact us if you have any questions about our advocacy efforts at the Chamber.
