Join us for Coffee & Conversations! This week will feature Amy Frey, Sedgwick discussing Workers' Compensation.
Workplace injuries can be stressful for employers, and the Ohio workers’ compensation system is often a challenge to navigate. Employers with workers’ compensation coverage through the state fund are required to utilize the services of a managed care organization, or MCO to monitor medical treatment and the return-to-work process for claims. There is a great deal of focus on premium costs and savings opportunities, but there is a direct correlation between the work of an MCO and an employers’ success in containing workers’ compensation costs.
In this session, we will discuss the 3 main categories of the MCO role – injury reporting, medical case management, medical billing - and how you can best connect with and leverage the daily work of your MCO to organize your workers’ compensation program and contain long-term premium costs.
Coffee & Conversations is a relaxed virtual meeting where we will discuss the featured topic or any other questions you may have. We look forward to connecting with you over a cup of coffee. We are here for you!
