Foreign Trade Zones in the Cincinnati Region

We know that the Cincinnati region has a robust pipeline of import and export activity, partly because we have the most active inland port in the country.

Last month, we hosted Melissa Johnson with the
Greater Cincinnati Foreign Trade Zone at our board meeting to talk about the benefits the foreign trade zone (FTZ) offers to companies in the region. Many international firms and companies with partners outside the country have taken advantage of the region’s two FTZs to streamline the import and export of goods.

If you are a manufacturer or distributor importing at least $3 million or more a year, and your imports are primarily from a country with whom the United States does not have a free trade agreement, your business might be a good candidate for an FTZ.

For more information on how you might leverage the benefits of an FTZ, we've put together a list of blogs and videos from this year to help you get started.
