    About Us

Cincinnati Works is a non-profit organization that will partner with all willing and capable people living in poverty to assist them in advancing to economic self-sufficiency through employment. We have helped more than 8,000 Members (clients) find employment over our 25+ years, while delivering more than $150 million in economic benefit to the community, according to analysis by the UC Economics Center.

We understand that a job is just the beginning, and our Members’ challenges do not end when the first paycheck arrives. Our model is built on personalized career and financial coaching, as well as job readiness, placement, retention, and advancement programs – not simply job placement. Coaches are available to meet in-person or remotely for as long as our Members need them, from early in a job search to pursuing a promotion or paying off debt. They are backed by a team of professionals who provide support services such as legal coordination, transportation assistance, and behavioral health counseling.

While we empower our Members to improve their personal stability and financial wellness, we also establish and nurture relationships with local employers. We offer a suite of services to help employers build and develop their frontline workforce, including hiring assistance and on-site coaches. As a result, local businesses have a stable and productive workforce, and our Members have opportunities to grow with employers who share our vision.
