    About Us

In 1986, a handful of local Christians felt called to begin the Habitat ministry in the Cincinnati area. Over the years, there were a number of affiliates in various parts of the region which gradually combined forces. In 2013, the largest of these, Cincinnati Habitat and TriState Habitat, merged to become Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati is a non-profit Christian housing ministry that seeks to eliminate substandard housing locally and globally by building and renovating simple, decent, affordable homes to sell to low-income families in need. Since 1986, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati has built, renovated or repaired more than 600 homes throughout a 9-county region in the Tri-State area including Hamilton, Butler, Clermont and Warren counties in Ohio; Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties in Kentucky; and Dearborn and Ohio counties in Indiana. We have also contributed to building 1000+ homes globally in Armenia, Cambodia, El Salvador and Kenya. Habitat is dedicated both locally and globally to construct, rehabilitate and preserve homes; advocate for fair and just housing policies; and provide training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.
