About Us

Listening Heart, LLC was founded in 2017 by Christy Wesselman, a seasoned spiritual director and facilitator devoted to helping individuals reconnect with their inner wisdom and deepest sense of meaning. Christy completed her formal training in Spiritual Direction at the Benedict Inn in Beech Grove, Indiana, earning her certificate in 2018.

Christy serves as a spiritual director/companion for people from many faith traditions or none at all. Whether you identify as Christian, Buddhist, Jewish, spiritual-but-not-religious, or simply curious, she welcomes all who are seeking a more grounded, authentic, and meaningful spiritual life. Through attentive listening and gentle guidance, Christy offers a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space to explore purpose, values, and one’s relationship with God, Source, or the Sacred Mystery.

Her professional background is rich and diverse, including work as a child-advocate attorney, college instructor, youth minister, and educator. She has also served as a spiritual care assistant in mental health offering group enrichment experiences and individual spiritual support. She is a hospice volunteer providing spiritual care, vigil and legacy planning.

Christy is also a trained SoulCollage® facilitator, an Advanced Certified Veriditas Labyrinth Facilitator, a HealthRhythms® facilitator, an INELDA-trained End-of-Life Doula, and a Holy Fire® Reiki Master. She holds a B.A. in Religious Education from Marian University, an M.A. in Pastoral Ministries, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton.
